About Myroslav
I was born and raised in Ukraine. Drawing has been my passion since very childhood. As a child I often left my drawings on the walls. In high school I was introduced to oil paints and painted my first picture.
I studied at the art school for only 2 months. It was really boring. I still remember the lesson when our teacher fell asleep right in the middle of the studying process.
After graduating from high school in 2006, I consulted with my parents and entered the university to study law. Right after that, I realized that I had chosen the wrong path, but still got a law degree. These years were a period of struggle and contradictions.
I realized that I wanted to leave my career as a lawyer only after spending four years in a court and a year in a bank. So I quit my job and decided to do what I wanted all that time. I have been doing oil painting since 2018.
Through books, art and design courses and everyday practice, I am constantly improving my skills as an artist. Most of my paintings are still lifes. I like depicting food as well as things that surround us every day. Therefore, most of my paintings are particularly suitable for kitchens. I love small formats and simple composition.
I believe that daily work on what you love makes the world a better place for each of us.
